Kelly Rowland Is In Command
FULL BLAST TV
A week ago, Kelly Rowland took to the stage at the Gramercy Theater in New York City for Suave Presents Walmart Soundcheck Live, as a promotional concert for her upcoming third solo album, One Woman Show slatted to drop later this fall under Universal Motown Records. But ever since we’ve known Kelly, she’s been a style icon. Maybe this is why she was chosen to be a host and judge on the first season of BRAVO TV’s The Fashion Show, or why we continue to see her in countless Dark & Lovely advertisements and commercials. Kelly Rowland has evolved into her own woman since her Destiny’s Child days, no longer having to share the spotlight .
If her performance at the Gramercy serves as insight of what we can expect off the new project, this one will place her in Billboard’s Top ranks – with her already rapidly acclaimed singles “Commander,” “Grown Woman” and “Rose Colored Glasses.” With her new dance music sound, many have pegged her as the new age Donna Summers, which might actually work towards her benefit this time around. It seems as though Kelly has finally found her sound and is the “grown ass woman” many fans been waiting for, defining her own destiny. With many more promotional events on the calendar before One Woman Show releases in October, Kelly is our “commander.”
