NAKED AND ALONE WITH LEE

BY RITA FOSTER

Lee-Naked-CD-Cover

How do you feel about getting NAKED…well, metaphorically that is.  “Naked” is the solo album from Lee, front man of the ten piece ensemble, The Square Egg.  Why go solo?  Lee has the desire to express himself.  He wants to grow as an artist and answer the question, “What am I trying to say?” The master lyricist, with vocals similar to Seal and musical style comparable to Harry Connick Jr.; wants you to listen and really pay attention to the words of his songs and not just perceive the sound.  Lee wants you to try to figure out what his lyrics are saying.  What they mean to you and how do they make you feel.

Do you feel like you want to get NAKED yet?  Not warm enough for you?   Lee left the sunshine of Miami for greater opportunities in Brooklyn.  He is hot and has shed all his layers to show us his big fat…emotions!  In the song “?(Love)” Lee uses words like “heaven-sent”, “benevolence”, and “God” to express how he feels about love.  “What is love?”  People from the street say that “Love is the truth of God,” it is “tenderness, happiness, and feeling wonderful!” One man says that the word love is “over used and abused” and that “so many people throw it around and not many people feel it.”

You can feel the “?(Love)” for free! Lee has something to say and he wants the whole world to hear it.  You can download his single “? (Love)” on Bandcamp and for just $1 to download “Alone,” a track off of Lee’s “Naked” album that expresses his need for independence and desire. Now, it’s time for you to get “Naked” and listen…“Alone” or with a friend…and share the “?(Love)” that Lee has bestowed upon our ears.
