Lady GaGa returns to the music scene today with the first single, “Born This Way” off of her much anticipated upcoming album which shares the same name. The single which went to radio at six this morning and was released on iTunes ten minutes ago, is an anthem to anyone who has ever felt like an outcast in life. Returning to her rock roots, GaGa can be heard belting out the chorus, “I’m beautiful in my way, ’cause God makes no mistakes, I’m on the right track baby, I was born this way” alongside guitar riffs. Lyrics for the song were pre-released a couple weeks back, and and while some critics had issues with some of the language used in the song and others compared it to past work done by Madonna and current work done by Britney – in the grand scheme of things the song sends a strong message to everyone to accept who you are, and reaches out to everyone from ALLaspects of life. Fans in the US can download the single right now for free when they pre-ordering the Born This Way album from Target.com, where the hotly anticipated release is being sold as an exclusive deluxe version with three additional studio tracks and five remixes. Born This Way (the album) drops May 23rd. Be sure to watch Sunday’s 60 Minutes(7pm, CBS) for Lady Gaga’s revealing interview with Anderson Cooper, an hour before the 53rd GRAMMY Awards.
